For more than two decades, we've worked alongside consumers, advocates, policymakers, and community partners to advance a fairer marketplace for all Georgians. Together, we've strengthened consumer protections, empowered communities, and championed policies that make a difference.
This year, we are proud to recognize six Consumer Champions whose leadership and dedication have advanced consumer protections across Georgia:
- Senator Chuck Hufstetler – All-Star Consumer Champion for his longstanding leadership and commitment to consumer protection.
- Senator Kay Kirkpatrick – Champion for Healthcare Coverage for expanding access to care and strengthening patient protections.
- Representative Darlene Taylor – Champion for Community Health for advancing policies that improve community health and access to care.
- Georgia Department of Banking and Finance & Commissioner Oscar "Bo" Fears III – Champion for Financial Protection for safeguarding Georgians from fraud and predatory lending.
- Attorney Linley Jones – Champion for Civil Justice for protecting consumers' access to justice through the legal system.
- Cassenda Nelson – Champion for Community Advocacy for her outstanding work connecting communities to healthcare resources and championing Community Health Workers.
